Our Story
KFT began with a passionate group of high school students who saw the lack of access to the beautiful art of lion dancing in the United States. We were inspired by how powerful, artistic, and culturally rich lion dance was, yet frustrated that most high-quality equipment and knowledge were limited to Asia.
That’s when we decided to take action. We started a lion dance club at our high school, learning from various teams across California and building friendships within the community. Over time, our network grew, connecting us not only to passionate performers across the U.S., but also to respected brands and teams in Asia. From those beginnings, KFT was born.

Our mission is simple: to spread the tradition of lion dance throughout the United States.
We believe lion dancing shouldn’t just be something celebrated in Asia. It deserves a stage here too. It’s an art form that’s entertaining to watch, challenging to master, and fiercely competitive. Through KFT, we aim to help more people experience the energy, precision, and spirit that define this incredible tradition.
